Ryan is a longtime performer of magic and theatre. He is currently studying marketing and theatre arts at San Francisco State University, studies which he applies directly to his magic work. But that is not where our tale begins. Ryan was hooked at a young age by the magic on TV, and not long after was forcing his family to sit through his own amateur shows in the living room. His magic soon found its way into elementary school playgrounds, and then graduated into middle and high school lunchrooms. As a freshman in high school, his interests expanded to include drama and stagecraft. Ryan applied the lessons he learned in his acting classes to his advanced technical abilities as a magician, and acquired a little something called “showmanship.”
With his theatrical mind now fully in gear, and his dexterity reaching advanced levels, Ryan began to take his first steps out into the professional world. Before long his resume was filling with children’s parties, cocktail parties, corporate events, charity appearances, and stage performances. He even began street performing, realizing the challenge would do him good.
Today, Ryan performs with a rare energy and a presence that absolutely captivates audiences. His quickness, humor and wit are born from countless performances in a variety of venues, and his technical skill is remarkable in itself. As a scholar of magic, Ryan reads all that he can about the history of those who came before him, and applies their lessons to his own performance so that he can be the best that he can. His ideas about magic are always changing, as he seems to draw inspiration from everywhere and everyone. This energy and thought is channeled directly back into his magic.
