In spring of 2007, Ryan Horsfall wrote, directed, and starred in his first main stage theatre show as a magician at Franklin Theatre Company.  The show, entitled Poof! was a highly praised 90 minute show featuring dancers, magic, comedy, and illusions such as Ryan sawing himself in half and walking through barbed wire.  Woven throughout the magical and hilarious show was a message of time’s power, and of each person’s own legacy they leave behind.  Six months later, Ryan and the majority of the graduating class of 2007 would depart for college.

In summer of 2008, Ryan returned to Sacramento to present his second main stage show.  Ryan Horsfall’s 60 Minutes of Magic was created to be a much more intimate and interactive experience than Poof!, and played three weekends at Garbeau’s Dinner Theatre.  The premise of the show was simple; Ryan wished that each member of his audience would “laugh sixty times in sixty minutes, all the while being astounded by strong magic.”  Audience members played an important part in just about every trick, and this of course made for some very good laughs and unforgettable magic.
